Mammals

Red fox

The most cunning of our mammals says the legend.
The red fox is considered in France as harmful, wrongly in my opinion
given that it is the ideal ally of farmers as a predator of rodents
which attack crops.

raccoon

The Masked Avenger! With his bandit face, he cracks me up.
But we must not forget that this is an invasive species in France.
Despite everything, he’s so cute that he’s half forgiven!

Boar

Here is a mammal of our countryside which deserves all our attention. Certainly it is not the most majestic but I find it rather photogenic.

Boar

Rabbit / Hare

These small mammals with big ears are both so close and so different in their way of life,
solitary for the hare and in a group for the wild rabbit.

Rabbit / Hare

Nutria

This big rodent, as comfortable in water as on land, delights me when I’m on the lookout for kingfishers, herons or other birds in our ponds.

Nutria

Roe

The smallest of our deer is a delight to follow and photograph.
Often walking as a couple or as a family when the little fawns are born, he offers me unforgettable scenes of life.

Roe

Red deer

Surely the animal that gives me my biggest emotions in wildlife photography.
The deer is very difficult to approach and to photograph and when we find ourselves facing a scene of bellowing,
the heart beats, the hands tremble and we know that we are witnessing a scene of wild life exceptional.
