Graphic designer by profession, I have been practicing photography as an amateur for a few years. As far as I can remember, I have always been aware of nature, of wildlife.
Animals have always had an important part in my life. As a child I already dreamed of photo safaris. As a teenager, a two-year stay in Cameroon, to follow my parents, increased my passion for wildlife.
For several years, I have been involved in various activities related to the knowledge and preservation of birds. At the same time, when I was in my forties, I started to take an interest in photography. One thing leading to another, the idea of ​​linking my two passions came to me and wildlife photography became obvious to me. Here I am now browsing the nature around my home, in Gironde, in France or elsewhere in order to satisfy this passion.
Observing this nature almost daily, I realized its increasingly obvious fragility. Testifying through my images to the beauty of this natural environment seems to me to be a real way of making people aware of its beauty and therefore of the need to protect it.
It now seems necessary to me to change our behavior in order to preserve nature, slow down and reverse its decline, which has been accelerating in recent years.
Wildlife photography requires observation, stubbornness and above all a lot of patience. But what happiness I feel when all the elements come together, to capture through my lens the moment, the attitude, the ideal light. This challenge, to restore in image the magic of these wild moments lives in me and every day makes me leave with the delight of uncertainty, the comfort of the house, in the quest for these moments shared with the fauna which surrounds us.
